Just a field away from the bustle of Petworth town centre sits Makers Barn. A beautiful barn, brimming with lovely handmade things made by over 100 talented craftspeople. The barn is open Fridays and Saturdays, 9-4. On our website you can shop a selection of these locally-made, handcrafted items and book onto our rural craft workshops.

Our wonderful annual event that Rosie and all our makers look forward to. If you’re looking for a great day out it really shouldn’t be missed!
We will have 20+ craftspeople here ranging from basket makers, metal workers and potters to blacksmiths, green woodworkers, weavers and more…
Many makers will be offering hands on ‘Have a Go’ activities ranging from £5-£15.
We will have 2 great bands playing for us in the afternoon and delicious food by Executive Chef Simon Dixon of Farbridge Events. We are also pleased to say that Langhams Brewery will be coming along!

Workshops
Since opening it’s barn doors in the spring of 2023, Makers Barn has grown into a thriving, creative community of makers. We regularly host craft workshops that range from coppicing and basketry to pottery and shrink pot making. If you fancy trying your hand at one of these rural crafts take a look at the workshops available and book yourself in. Join us in helping keeping these rural crafts skills alive.

From an original idea in 2019, coppicer and Makers Barn founder Rosie Rendall has created a unique destination that champions handmade products by rural craftspeople.
